DSG's Gary Prosterman lands spot on Memphis Business Journal's Power 100 2023: Developers List

The fourth annual Power 100 list was released in the Jan. 27 weekly edition of MBJ. The section profiles the 100 most powerful people in the Mid-South, as chosen by the editorial staff. Those included were also honored at an invite-only event at The Orpheum Theatre on Jan. 26.

The 2023 Power 100 is sponsored by Duncan Williams Asset Management and ProTech Services Group.

The Power 100 developers are the business leaders who are overseeing many of the biggest new construction and renovation projects changing the landscape locally.

On the list is our very own, Gary Prosterman. You can read his spotlight below.

Gary Prosterman

Principal, Development Services Group

The site of the old Wonder Bread bakery is now home to Orion Federal Credit Union’s headquarters and 286 apartments, thanks to local developer Gary Prosterman. And more is coming. His Development Services Group’s redevelopment of the Edge District has set off a flurry of new activity in the area, allowing Prosterman to cash in on a long-held belief of the Edge’s potential. Prosterman’s company will double down, with the huge second phase of the company’s efforts, the Rise on the Ravine, being significantly larger than what was originally proposed in 2017. He also has a major project underway in St. Louis. He previously founded AMS, which developed and managed outpatient surgery centers and was acquired by Symbion in 1998.
